So. My skin hates me 90% of the time. My skin is always incredibly dry, while my face is usually riddled with acne and dry patches. (And yes I always take off my makeup at night & drink plenty of water!) As of late I’ve been experimenting with some skincare products to resolve my skin troubles, and these are my favorites thus far!
I am in no way endorsed by any of these products, and opinions are always 100% my own!
This stuff has done wonders for my dry skin. The coarse coffee exfoliates, while the coconut oil moisturizes. The caffeine in the coffee also helps to tighten and brighten skin! (And it smells. A. Ma. Zing.) This is ideal in the harsh winter months when there never seems to be an end to dry, cracked skin. I typically use this while soaking in the bath, but you can also use it in or out of the shower, whichever is your preference! Let it soak in for a few minutes before rinsing off, and pat (not rub) your skin dry.

Buy. This. Immediately. I have tried countless facial serums, oils, and moisturizers, and nothing has done more for my skin than Maracuja oil. It’s not heavy or greasy, and it doesn’t take a long time to soak in. Plus this stuff will last you forever. A little goes a long way, so you’re able to stretch that $$ in the long run! Unfortunately the bottle it came in fell to pieces a few months after purchasing it, so I did have to transfer it into a simple dropper bottle. But all is well, and spillage was minimal! You can mix it in with your foundation for moisturizing day wear if you like, but I personally only use it in my nightly skincare routine. (which I will post about later!)
This moisturizer is great for combo skin! It’s not heavy or greasy, and dries quickly, which is great! One issue I’ve always run into with ‘mattifying’ moisturizers is that they all have a funky smell to them. This is scentless and I mean it! So it’s also great for people who are sensitive to perfumes and scented products. This really keeps my skin nice and hydrated and keeps my oiliness at bay. It also helps smooth out pores, so it makes for a great facial primer!

I am seriously obsessed with this stuff and I will buy it ’til the day I die. It is on the pricey side, but I promise you it is so worth it. I’m absolutely in love with the scent! It’s a heavy rose smell, and I can’t get enough of it. It’s a ‘body conditioner’, so it works like regular conditioner. You’re supposed to smooth it onto your skin and let it soak for a few minutes while you’re in the shower and then rinse it off and gently pat it off with a towel. But, it also makes for a hydrating lotion, which is how I use it. (And a little goes a long way!) Note: the container I’m holding is a smaller size of the product, bought in a gift set. The full-size jar is about the size of my hand and then some!
Acne sucks. It does. I’ve tried creams, spot treatments, medications, hell I’ve even tried that Neutrogena light mask thing. But alas, I’ve settled on a winner. (Hooray!) Using the both of these together has helped my skin so much. The serum helps keep dirt and debris from your pores, while the blemish rescue targets acne. Overall my complexion has improved, my skin feels healthier, and I have little to no acne! Of course there’s no such thing as an end-all be-all cure to acne, (because hormones suck) but this stuff comes pretty darn close. I use the serum in the morning after washing my face as well as at night, and i use the spot treatment at night after the serum. I will tell you that the spot treatment can really dry out your face if you’re not careful, so don’t use it more than once a day, and always use a moisturizer!
I hope this post will make its way to someone in need of some new skincare, because I know all of these products have really helped me. Thanks for reading, until next time!
